Barbara E. (Kuell) Dube, 87, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2020 at the Masconomet Healthcare Center. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Roland G. Dube. Barbara was born in Lawrence, MA on May 14, 1932 to the late James M. Kuell and Myrtle (Wyman) Kuell and grew up in Middleton, MA with her sisters Jean, Virginia and brother James. She is survived by her sister Jean (Kuell) Gage. Barbara was a graduate of Salem State College with a degree in business education. However, after having her children, she taught 5th-6th grades for many years at St. Johnís school in Peabody, MA, ending her career there as vice-principal. Barbara and Roland loved to travel and made so many memories on their trips driving across the U.S., a cruise in Alaska, cruising around New Zealand and Australia and several other memorable destinations, making life long friends along the way. Barbara was very creative. She loved to sew and for a time taught tailoring at Essex Agricultural School. She passed this love to her daughter Lorraine. Barbara also was a very talented watercolor artist and won several ribbons as local fairs. Many of her paintings decorate her childrenís homes as well as those of friends. Above all, she loved her family and friends. She was always there to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on and a well-cooked meal when needed. She loved nothing more than to be surrounded by family and friends on every available occasion. The home she shared with Roland and their children was the extended familyís gathering place for Easter, Christmas, New Yearís Day and any other time she could with the family. Barbara was very active in St. Maryís Church in Danvers. She was a Eucharistic minister for a time, prepared the baptismal robes as required and sang in the choir. She and her many friends faithfully attended 7 am Mass every day, with breakfast to follow. Barbara is survived by her companion of many years Oliver Duguay, her son Jack Rajotte and his wife Wendie, her daughter Lorraine Wall and her husband Jim, her son Rick and his wife Debbie and her son Jim and his wife Patty. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Jessica Wozniak and her husband Tony, Matthew Rajotte and his wife Ashley, Richard Dube, Brandon Dube and his wife Dory, Justin Dube, Jim Dube and his companion Erin and Danielle Dube and her companion Zack. She also has 7 great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Samantha, AJ, Charlotte, Declan, Carter and Thayer.
