John A. Dustin passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. John was born and raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High school in 1961. After graduation he managed a Gulf Gas station at 314 Cabot street in Beverly, which he later purchased and renamed Dustin's Gulf Service. After receiving many awards and trips for Excellence, he hung up his tools in 1988.

Johnny had a love of many things. He was an experienced pilot, an avid golfer, a member of the Elks club and Salem Willows Yacht club, and above all, an amazing grandfather to his four grandchildren. He was devoted to children and grandchildren driving long distances or even flying home from Florida to attend their hockey games and school events.

To know Johnny was to love him. He was a kind-hearted, genuine person who knew how to light up a room with his humor and his contagious smile. He always saw the bright side of things! Although John's primary residence was in Danvers, he enjoyed spending his winters in Pompano Beach, Florida and his summers on Mousam Lake in Maine with his family.

John is survived by his loving wife Anna, his two sons, Darrin J. and his wife Heidi, and Daniel J. and his wife Michelle. He will be missed by his four grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Nicole and Tyler. John was predeceased by his older sister Glenny Jones, and survived by his other siblings, Deanna Szymczak and her husband Tom, Eileen Burns, Sharon DeSisto and her husband Paul, Stephen Dustin and his wife Mary, and Randall Dustin and his wife Sandy.

John will long be missed by a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends that he embraced as a part of his family.

Donations can be made in John's name to the Lynda J Talbot Memorial Fund, 39 Pickering Street Danvers, Ma 01923

Dear Anna, I am so sorry to learn of Johnís passing. My father, Richard Kiddle, was a Sales Rep for Gulf Oil, and Johnís station was one of those he served. I remember him speaking so fondly of ďJohnny Dustin.Ē John was very supportive of my dad. I remember how personable he was whenever I patronized his station. It was very easy to understand why my dad thought so highly of him. I pray that God will comfort you and your family in your grief. May John rest in Godís peace. My Sincerest Sympathy, Ruth (Kiddle) Patch
