On Saturday, August 31, 2019, Christine S. (Salonen) “Miss Chris” Wojciechowski, loving wife, and mother passed away at age 72.

Christine (Chris) was born September 24th, 1946 in Revere, MA to the late Arthur and Mary Ann (Pazyra) Salonen. Chris grew up in Chelsea, where she later met and married John Wojciechowski September 20, 1969. She attended Cardinal Cushing High School and after 15 years at New England Phone Company she became a teacher at Fuller Meadow Elementary in Middleton and worked in the Middleton School Department for 25 years. It is in Middleton, that she and John chose to settle down and raise their only son, John Christopher Wojceichowski.

People that know Chris will remember her devotion to her family, her commitment to her students, and her love for animals. An active community member, Chris participated in the garden club, she volunteered with a multitude of organizations that support children and was often seen walking her dogs. Generations were impacted by “Miss Chris’” positivity and patient demeanor. She was known for her infectious smile, compassionate spirit and boundless love and gratitude. Chris was also the Grand Marshall of the Middleton parade years ago.

Chris is survived by her living husband of 50 years, John Wojciechowski, beloved son, John C. Wojciechowski, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary & Dennis Hanegan and her brother-in-law Stanley Wojciechowski and several cousins, friends and her shih tzus that rarely left her side (Skooter and Callee).

Relatives and friends are invited to her celebration of life gathering on Friday Sept. 6, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St. (Rte. 114), Middleton, MA. Funeral services will take place at 7:00pm at the conclusion of the gathering. In Lieu of flowers donations in Chris’s memory may be made to: The charity of one’s choice
