Therese (Paciello) D’Aquila, 78, of Peabody formerly of Beverly, Mass, Keene N.H. and Long Island, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Sunday May 19, 2019 at Rosewood Nursing Home, Peabody. She was born in Queens, NY and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Antoinette (Celano) Paciello and sister of the late Martin Paciello. She is survived by her spouse Ric D’Aquila of Keene N.H., her son John D’Aquila of Jacksonville Beach Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and Richard Stamegna of Beverly; two grandchildren Michael D’Aquila and Christina D’Aquila, also from Florida; and her brother and his wife Vito and Virginia Paciello of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Therese was a Nurse’s Aide and volunteered extensively to help countless others throughout her life. She generously gave her time and worked with children at the school for the deaf, children with special needs and did charitable work at hospitals and nursing homes. She will be remembered as a “Champion of the underdog”
She had a great love of music and taught piano, and passed on her appreciation for music to her children and grandchildren, bringing joy to others when she played.
Funeral Services will be private at the request of Therese. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mackey Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days.
