Sherryl (Murphy) Goodwin, age 53, passed away peacefully on March 28th 2019 at Mass General Hospital. Born April 24th 1965 in Lynn to Richard Murphy and Margaret (Colucci) Murphy. Sherryl attended Lynnfield High school and went on to live a vivacious life. She was spirited, funny, and gregarious. She could also be comforting and maternal as she was a dedicated Mother and Grandmother. Often, even her co-workers called her Mama. Sherryl had a warmth about her that is difficult to explain to those who missed knowing her. When she smiled it was radiant. When she laughed, it would roll out and fill the room. To be near her was to be affected by her presence. She is survived by her husband Jeff Goodwin, Mother Margaret Greenlaw, Son Steven Durant and his wife Katie, granddaughter, Ivy Lynn Durant, Step Grandchildren, Gloria and Roland Slezas, Sister-in-Law Linda Murphy, Nephew Tyler Murphy, Aunt and Uncle Georgann and Louie DiBicarri, Cousins Louis, Matthew, Michael, Neil DiBicarri and Natasha Anderson. Former Husband and close friend Butch Durant, Best friends Susan (Lee) Dascoli and her husband Frank and their children Michael, Gina and Nicholas. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Murphy and Brother Richard D. Murphy.

I was fortunate to meet Sherryl first at Smith and Wollensky at the Castle and then our friendship continued at the new location at the Atlantic Wharf. She got to meet my entire family! She was a wonderful, friendly person and I alway requested her as our server. She enjoyed her job and loved people. I considered her more as a friend than a server. She, as well as her family, will be in my thoughts and prayers! Fond regards, Jan Cusson
