William (Bill) Jeffrey born in Boston 1/5/32 and died peacefully on 1/21/19.

Bill grew up in East Boston and graduated from Boston Technical high school . He served in the Korean War, army infantry and was honorably discharged with a purple heart for bravery. After leaving the military, he enjoyed a life long career with General Electric as an appliance technician. He lived in Saugus until he moved to Boxford 20 years ago with his long time love, Gladys Reid.

He is survived by his six children, Gini Mazman of West Newbury, MA , Thomas Jeffrey of Fryeburg, ME (wife Paula), Matthew Jeffrey of Saugus, MA (spouse Kristine), Kristen Walsh of Gloucester. MA (husband Rob Walsh) , Kurt Jeffrey of Eau Claire , WI (wife Angie), Carrie Kennedy of Newbury, MA. He was also blessed with nine grandchildren: Erica Mazman. Julie Mazman, Jenny Jeffrey, Tyler Jeffrey, Jessica Jeffrey, Amanda Full, Zachary Jeffrey, Aidan Kennedy, Evelyn Walsh.

Bill enjoyed spending winters in Fort Myers Florida with Gladys Reid, “breaking even” with his wagering on dogs, horses, and casino games, engaging in lively political discussions and spending time with family and his lifelong friends, Victor, Bill and Dave.

A memorial gathering will occur at a later date. Donations in remembrance of Bill Jeffrey can be made to The Haven Project, 57 Munroe Street, Lynn, MA 01901.
