Denise Adele Christian, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Kaplan House in Danvers, MA. Born in 1941 in North Attleboro she was the daughter of the late James and Adele Christian.

Denise lived the majority of her life in Danvers, graduating from Danvers High School in 1959, Merrimack College in North Andover earning a degree in Early Elementary Education, at Boston University she earned a masterís degree in Special Education and became certified in School Administration. Denise excelled in all academic endeavors. Denise was known for her public speaking ability. She could present to an audience at a momentís notice without preparation. Working for many years for the Lynnfield Public School System, Denise advanced to become the Director of Special Education and Pupil Services. One of her many strengths as Director of Special Education in Lynnfield was her never ending effort and determination to provide the most appropriate educational program for the students in her programs. She was a strong advocate for studentís rights striving for perfection in her programs and from her staff as well. In her spare time Denise enjoyed life to its fullest. Socializing with friends, evenings of music and dancing and vacations to the islands were among her favorite pastimes. Denise valued her family, especially her parents whom she loved and cared for at the end of their lives. Denise found much comfort in her religion. She was a devoted member of Saint Maryís Church in Danvers. Her faith brought both a peace and a strength in life. Denise is survived by her Cousin Robert Christian and his wife Sandy of Wrentham and their children, Paul Cavalaro of Braintree, husband of her late cousin Marilyn Christian Cavalaro and their children as well as numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

So sorry I will be traveling and unable to attend Deniseís service. I was one of her teachers at Lynnfield, and remember her with respect and affection. Eileen Reilly
