Carolyn "Carol" N. Titterington (nee Nusbaum), age 86, of Peabody, MA passed away peacefully in hospice on Sept. 9, 2018 surrounded with love by her children. She was born on June 7, 1932 in Linden, N.J. to the late Theodore J. Nusbaum, Sr. and Florence (nee Stengel) and was preceded in death by her older sister Marie Caputo and younger brother Theodore J. Nusbaum, Jr. as well as beloved family friend, Elizabeth J. Smalley.

Carol graduated from Monmouth Nursing School in 1953 as a registered nurse and was a lifelong member of Monmouth Medical Center Nurses Alumni Association. She had a long career caring for patients as an addiction recovery nurse. With her former husband, Gerard V. Titterington (d. 2009) she raised four children in Danvers, MA.

Carol had a great passion for reading and learning which she encouraged in her children and was a loyal and devoted friend who will be remembered for her sense of humor and thoughtfulness. Carol was always one to remember someone's birthday and celebrate that person with a carefully chosen gift and card.

She is survived by her treasured children Patrice A. Titterington of El Paso, TX; Ellyn R. Titterington of MA; Paul G. Titterington (Maripat) of Houston, TX. and Amy E. Titterington (Makoto Obara) of Tokyo, Japan and was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Li Ping and Qian Yi Titterington of MA., Nathan Titterington of Houston, TX., and Ayano and Akane Obara of Tokyo, Japan.
