Nicholaos Christos Stasinos passed away on January 10th at the great age of 80 years old . With his family by his side a devoted husband ,father , grandfather .great grandfather ,brother .uncle, godfather and friend to many we should all take great comfort that he is looking down at us all knowing that he was greatly loved by everyone here and from his beloved Island of Samos ,Greece where he was born to Christos and Marouda Stasinos.

Nick is survived by his beloved wife Argyro which they shared 54 years of marriage. Three children Chris,Jim and Maria, His grand kids who always put a smile and everlasting love in his heart Marina,Nicholas,George,Eleni. Alexi Yianni and a Great grand daughter Gianna. Along with his daughter in law Dimitra and son in law Costas Apostolopoulos . He also leaves behind two brothers Costa and Mike. And a group of nephews and nieces who he loved and cherished .

Things will never be the same for many of us as we take a walk up those cobblestone streets in Karlovassi expecting to see you sitting down and over looking your garden as you sipped some Souma . Or seeing you take your grand kids for a ride on the Vespa to the countryside and stopping at every little church to light a candle and a quick prayer . We will always have those great memories and countless others of you to share as time goes on..You enjoyed a great and happy life but god has other plans for you now . Rest in peace dad we love you.

There are no words of compassion or relief at this time for any of us, sufferring from the loss of my dearest uncle- not an uncle for me- but a father hood pattern, full of love and kindness...Everyone stands to the side of the family,my beloved aunt and dearest cousins... there are no compliments for me to say that are not known to everyone... A caring and devoted husband, a father always close to his children, a good friend, a hard working person full of energy and a person who loved his country... Memories of him, giving his goodmorning greedings to the neighboorhood on a daily basis with a smile on his face, his teasings and always willing to help everyone in need... I shall never forget that he made me feel one of his children with all his love... I really believe that although he has struggled in his life he will be compensated tonight with no need of our prayers for him... His spirit will rest in peace and always be close to everyone he took care of and helped... I wish I could be close to him these last days, but I will always keep him in my heart... For me, he hasn't died but has passed to another place where I shall definitely find him in another life, with the same smile on his face .. Distance makes my feelings and gratitude stronger..I know it will be a long journey till we meet again but the time we see each other it will last FOREVER... Till then, rest in peace and take care for all of us down here... To all of the family, they should be proud for him and they are so lucky that they know how much love and affection he gave and received for them... He IS in our hearts and the word "absence" has no room to stand...
