Lorayne C. Hocter, 91, beloved wife of the late William J. Hocter died Monday May 9, 2016 at home surrounded by her children. Born in Middleton she was the daughter of the late Elmer O. Sr. and Camilla (Newton) Campbell. She lived on Maple St. her entire life. She graduated from Holten High School in Danvers in 1942. A year later she married her sweetheart Bill and they shared 59 years of marriage. She was employed for many years in the cafeteria at the Howe-Manning School. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother. Lorayne was known for her toll house cookies and Santa Claus collection. In years past she enjoyed her pool, the cottage in Kingston and her Aprils in Florida. She was a fan of Boston Sports especially the Red Sox. Lorayne was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary-Augustus P. Gardner Post 227 Middleton MA. She and Bill were devoted to their family. Surviving her are her children, Kenneth Hocter of Middleton, Susan Kilroy of Middleton, Nancy Hocter and her partner George Berry of Middleton, also her grandsons, Matthew Kilroy and his wife Kerstin of Danvers, Travis Kilroy of Middleton and her great-grandaughter, Delilah Kilroy who always put a smile on her face. She was the sister of the late Elmer O. Campbell Jr and the mother-in-law of the late Paul Kilroy.
