Gladys Marie (Ouellette) Graczyk, beloved wife of Clarence (Chuck) S. Graczyk, with whom she shared 63 loving years of marriage, left us peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Salem, MA on May 8, 1932, she was the daughter of Arthur and Sophie (Kobierski) Ouellette. After graduating from Salem High School in 1949, she earned her degree from Burdette College. She worked at A.C. Lawrence, The House of Seven Gables, and St. Johnís Preparatory High School.

Gladys and Chuck shared an extraordinary marriage and their love for each other laid the foundation for a close-knit and loving family. She was truly devoted to her family and was always involved with her children's and grandchildren's activities. Gladys was a terrific cook and an exceptional seamstress, making everything from Halloween costumes to her daughter's wedding dress.

Gladys was predeceased by her beloved first son Carl Graczyk who passed in 1977. In addition to her husband, Gladys is survived by her four children: Debra Graczyk and her husband John Galanis of Ipswich, Rona Graczyk- Femino and her husband Leonard Femino of Beverly, Scott Graczyk and his wife Michelle Graczyk of Fairfield, CT, and Steven Graczyk of Danvers. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Carla Femino, Allyse Femino, Alyssa Galanis, Willem Galanis, Britta Galanis, Ana Graczyk, and Carl Graczyk, as well as her brother Arthur Ouellette of Lecanto, FL.

Memorial contributions may be made in Gladysí name to the Carl Graczyk Scholarship Fund at St. Johnís Preparatory High School, 72 Spring Street, Danvers, MA 01923.

Rona, you and your family are in my deepest thoughts and prayers. When I see you and your Father at daily Mass, it is obvious that your Mother had a profound influence in your lives. Dearest Chuck, Rona, and family, My very deepest and heartfelt sympathies to you all in the tremendous loss of your precious Gladie. Such a beautiful woman whom I loved the moment I met her years ago. She had a way of drawing you in to her very being. We shared many happy and meaningful times with Brother Sebastian during his healing services at the Prep. Who would have known that relationship would grow and last to this very day...and include her family who she adored. She was an inspiration and blessed my life in so many ways.I'm grateful to have had her love...and love her back. I will miss seeing her and being with her. Much love, Chris Morse

I have only known the Graczyks for a short time, but that is all it took to realize what a wonderful, close-knit family they have. And as the matriarch, I am sure Gladys set the tone for the family, and led by loving example. The fruit of her labor is plain to see in the extraordinary family that will remember her so fondly and miss her so much. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers, and I know the love and strength of your family will help see you through this time of sadness. Kevin O'Donnell and family
