Ulric C. Mullin known to family as “Uli” and to friends as Mullin transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, May 4, 2018, at the age of 87. He was born on May 28, 1930, in Belplain, St Andrews, Barbados to Lillian and Lawrence Mullin. Ulric was the fourth born of seven children and is pre-deceased by his parents Lillian and Lawrence Mullin, Lacy Mullin, Kenneth Mullin, Baby Mullin, and Doreen Mullin.
He was educated at St. Andrews Boy’s Grammar school and then went on to graduate from engineering school. Ulric migrated to the United States in 1955 and settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He worked for fifteen years at Simplex Steele and Wine in Cambridge before retiring from General Electric after 30 years of service in 1998. He was a man of many talents and trades and was known for being a Plumber, Cab Driver and later owned his own Livery company.
Ulric lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with friends and family, watching boxing, going to church with his wife, cooking, and spending time in the yard. Ulric had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 47 years Judith Mullin; Daughters: Joyce Mullin, Monique Marshall, and Elizabeth Mullin; Sisters: Eurene Lashley and Marjorie Mullin; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, eight nieces, five nephews, five great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 am, on Saturday, June 9th, at St Bartholomew's Episcopal Church; 239 Harvard St, Cambridge, MA 02139 Phone: (617) 354-8582.
