Obituary:

Frank Louis DePrizio, Jr. passed away on March 17th 2017 at the age of 71, after a brief battle with a rare lung disease.

Frank is survived by his wife of 45 years Maxine, his son, Mark, his nieces Haley Hill and Jaqueline Tolpin, as well as other loving relatives.

Frank was born in Everett, Massachusetts on October 5th, 1945. Frank graduated from Everett High School in 1964 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Ma in 1976. Frank served in the SeaBees branch of the Navy, and served as part of the National Mobile Construction Battalion 12 (NCB-12) in the Vietnam War during 1968-9.

Frank was a dedicated husband and father who enjoyed travelling, outings with friends and family, camping, gardening and hosting his longstanding July 3rd BBQs. Frank also enjoyed sports, having played football in high school, coached for the Winthrop Soccer League as well as the Winthrop junior varsity high school football team, and was an avid Patriots Fan. He also enjoyed running and biking until he was limited from doing so in later years. Frank was a social person who’s family and friendships he held very dear.

We would like to thank all of our friends and family who supported us during his brief but debilitating illness. We would especially like to thank those who helped keep his spirits high during these last four months with regular calls and personal visits to the various hospitals he was in, as these calls and visits meant the world to him in his final months.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation by visiting Frank’s tribute page: https://pulmonaryfibrosis.donorpages.com/Tribute/FrankDePrizio. We thank you for your support for those battling Pulmonary Fibrosis, and helping to find new treatments and ultimately a cure for this fatal disease.
