MIDDLETON: Joseph W. DeFeo, 76 passed away on August 11, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He had his loving family by his side. Joe was born January 3, 1939, he was the son of Albert and Carmella (Cioffi) DeFeo and was raised in East Boston.

Joe was the beloved husband of 53 years to Lorraine (Tordiglione) DeFeo. Loving father to two sons, Joseph M. DeFeo and his wife Wilma of Orlando, FL., Paul DeFeo and his wife Julie of Andover, MA; adoring "grandpa" to Christopher and Matthew DeFeo of Andover. He is survived by his brother and sister≠-in≠-law Anthony and Dilia DeFeo of East Boston, and sister Angela Pastore and late husband Anthony of Salisbury; and "Uncle Joe" to many loving nieces and nephews.

He graduated East Boston High School in 1957 and went on to Northeastern University in Boston to earn his degree in engineering. He spent most of his career as a Project Quality Engineer for the Gillette Company in Andover, MA. He enjoyed golf, tennis, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Uncle Thanks for filling the void I felt when my father died, I will miss the talks we had on everything from the economy, government, cars and most especially your advice and guidance when I needed it. I will miss your laugh when telling you about the daily state of affairs of your favorite German Shepherd Sadie. Thank you for taking an interest in my business, when the worst recession hit you were there telling me hang in there Al just keep doing what youíre doing your going to be OK, discussions like that really helped me, made me feel good, and you were right. Paulie, Lorraine and family, I am so sorry hear about Joe's passing. He was a great man. I used to love coming over for a swim and have him ask me a ton of questions about my life, my major, and how I was going to put it to use. He had so much energy and so much life.
